Aedan Seòras Allan (born 29th August, 1993 in Glasgow) is a Scottish visual artist. He works in a variety of media, including acrylics and oil on canvas, photography, sculpture, installation, performance and printing.
Aedan received a BA Honours degree in Fine Art in 2015, at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee. His work is concerned primarily with themes pertaining to the relationship between culture, occulture and mental illness, incorporating a sense of the occult and the processes of ritual which have long been a powerful force in his life. Chaos magick theory in particular is a significant influence, and is applied to all of Aedan’s work whether in terms of imagery or creative/destructive process.
The artist hopes to help break the stigma surrounding mental illness and neurodivergence by exploring his own through art.
